Charlie Gordon's “I am” Poem

I am a un-smart person wanting to be smart!

I wonder if I ever will be smart...

I hear the voices of peeple mocking me.

I see the world thru a key hole, but I want more.

I pretend... I dont pretend anything. Its lying.

I cry when I loose hope in getting smart.

I hope that I will be choosen for the operashun.

I need someone to understand me and treet me like everyone else.

I wish I was smart... wait, did I say that already?

----

I am a guy named Charlie Gordon

I am a genius who has once known what it was like to be mentally disabled.

I wonder why people still exclude me from things even after I have become a genius.

I hear the sounds of the lab; the machines, test animals, and other doctors.

I see myself as being superior to the ones who I once thought were smart.

I pretend to be the same Charlie Gordon but I seem to be changing in thoughts and personality.

I cry when I can't seem to understand other people's reaction towards my change.

I hope, I can stay a genius permanently.

I need to feel and understand other people.

I wish I knew how to communicate with other people better.

I am now a smart intellectual that can think and be creative.
